I've been drinking about 3 Litres of Evian water every day and am starting to be a bit concerned because when I heat the water up I can see it leaves a mineral residue in my cup. The residue is pretty hard to wash out of the cup so I'm wondering if this could be hard on my bladder or kidneys to drink so much of it. What do you think?

If you go to the Evian website, it will give a list of the minerals in the water. It is these minerals that are left behind in the cup. Evian has a fair amount of calcium in it and that is very likely what you are seeing (and what makes it difficult to remove from the cup). Calcium is a good thing!

Thanks Annie. I stopped drinking the Evian yesterday and switched totally over to filtered water and I'm having less burning today. This may be a fluke though but I think I'll lay off the Evian a while and see. It might be something other than the calcium in it bothering me . . .

Janie,
We are all so different, even when it comes to water. I think you are wise to try another water source to see if it makes a difference. While many do well with Evian, there have been posts by others who are bothered by it. I did well with a spring water that Sam's Club carried but a few months ago they dropped that brand. I had to start over trying different spring water brands to find one my bladder likes. Arghhh! So frustrating!!! Our bladders can be so fussy!

If you live in an area that has Arrowhead water, I have never heard of anyone yet that could not tolerate that brand. That is what I use...mainly b/c I can buy it by the crate at Costco!

Thanks for your replies annie and massagedoula!
So far so good with the filtered water today - I do need to find a bottled water that works for me for when I go on trips though. I will call our local costco and see if they have arrowhead water. Thanks for the tip on that massagedoula!
