While reviewing the handbook, I noticed that for the subject of vitamins it suggests eating a well balanced diet because vitamins general have preservatives. I feel like I need a multivitamin. Does anyone out there know of a good multi for IC? I was also wondering about the Ensure nutritional drink. I have never had it before so wanted to find out if anyone else has used it.

The B vitamins cause some problems for many IC'er's & also, C. I think someone said they could do Ensure but Boost tastes better & only vanilla. If you can find a sample of some vitamins with no preservatives/dyes, etc. You might want to try them.

Thanks for the info. I have not had Boost either. Maybe I will try them. My only concern about some multivitamins is that they are so huge and sometimes I have a hard time swallowing really large pills. I may try the ensure or boost.

I have read that some people on the boards do well with children's chewable vitamins. I have found a vitamin I can tolerate well that contains a buffered form of vitamin C and also contains quercetin. I have had no problem with it. It was recommended to me by someone else on the Boards. It is a multi vitamin and mineral supplement made by Usana. You can look them up on a search engine site like google to get more info. liz
