I went to the Dr a few weeks ago with severe pain and swelling in my right knee. I didn't hurt it that I know of but with two boys who are 11 and 9 and a newly crawling 8 mo old, anythings possible! The ortho thought maybe I had torn the meniscus and sent me for an MRI. Well I have some fragmants floating around in there which she said may cause some pain but not the massive amount of fluid I have around the knee cap. She decided instead of draining the fluid, we would try cortizone first. Well, I mentioned to her that just a few days ago, my other knee started to swell and I feel a dull pain going up into my hip. She said it was probably caused by more weight being distributed to that leg because the other one is sore. Understandable! This morning I wake up and I look like I have a sunburn across my face, down my neck and on my chest. Not the typical "butterfly" rash they describe on WebMd but more like a sunburn. Kindof splotchy but it's all over my face. I was thinking maybe an allergic reaction to the cortizone, but wouldn't the rash be everywhere? I don't know much about Lupus so if anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. If all else fails and the rash doesn't go away I will be phoning the Dr.
