:hi: Everyone...
Winter is over, Spring is springing...so it is time to have some fun. :dance: I have an :idea:. Since we are all from different areas on the map, why not write about what your area is famous for and what "local" foods are so yummy that we "cheat" on our food no-no lists every once in a while because it is just too hard to resist all of the time.
Does that sound like fun????
Here goes...I live in the Memphis, Tennesse area. I think everyone in the world knows that Elvis Presley :elvis: was from here. Graceland, his home, is a HUGE tourist attraction. Twice a year, fans from all over the world gather here in Memphis to celebrate his birthday and remember him on the anniversary of his death. They are both major media events.
As far as irresistible foods...gotta go with Memphis Bar-b-que. I have lived all over this country and have eaten a lot of bar-b-gue in my lifetime and I must say that Memphis has the best. Just talking about it makes my mouth water. Really...it is THAT good!!!!! If you ever find yourselves in Memphis, go to Corky's Bar-b-que. There are many of them around this area. It will be worth the "cheat". Just remember...go hungry and take plenty of Prelief when you indulge. :D
