I had my cystoscopy under anesthesisa (with hydro) 3 weeks ago and my follow up visit is scheduled next week. I haven't officially been diagnosed with IC, although it is the most likely that I will once my urologist shares the results of my surgery with me.

I am just wondering: why hasn't he called me yet to give me any feedback over the phone yet? Wouldn't he like to share certain things right away? I'm sure he was able to see things right there and there at the time of the surgery. I called him last week but and unless his staff didn't deliver the message, he still decided not to call me back.

I hope this means there is no major bad news like bladder cancer. Still, I feel a little ignored here. It was bad enough how rushed I felt at the hospital that day.

Call his office again for your results. You paid for the procedure, you deserve your results... He can provide all the details on your consult.

Call Again! Goodluck!!

The waiting time is the worst of all. When I was diagnosed, my doctor told me before I left the hospital.

My experience was the same as Donna's ~ however, I really think if you had something that serious he would be calling to ask you to come in sooner.

Do I think he could have given you someindication of his findings that day? Yes.

Apparantly he doesn't work that way-maybe he has people that get dx and he never sees them...who knows...one thing you could do is call the office. ask them if your Dr intends to give you the results of your procedure on such and such a day.

Just maybe the experience of having to answer your question will spur on a call back.

Try not to get too irritated..I would just assume Yes on the IC and be pleasantly surprised if it wasn't.Try following all non medical self help treatments like diet for the remaining 3 weeks, it can't hurt and may give you some feedback for the visit. :)
