help!Ditropan XL

hello been taking this for over 2 months now doesn't really help only helps really be4 bed and stuff everything else is the same tho.. my vagina kinda hurts is that bad? or could that be from the pill?? any help could help.. thanx

Hi. Ditropan XL didn't really do anything for me, either. I stopped taking it.
If your vagina hurts, though, I suggest going to a gyn and asking about vulvodyna. There's a really quick test that they can do with a q-tip to determine of you have it or not.

One a day didn't help me, I have to take one in the morning, one at nite. It helps some, but not everyone. :)

I take regular Ditropan (not the XL), 5 mgs 3x's day. I believe it's helping now, in combo with my other meds, Elmiron and Vistaril. When I was on just that alone, it helped for a bit, but then petered out, now I am pretty happy with it.

I stopped taking it because it seemed to give me bladder spasms! I startd Elavil and am now doing better. Elavil 25mg and Elmiron 200mg. twice daily. That's all I take anymore.:O)

Oops, forgot, I had vaginal/vulvar pain at the diagnosis time of my IC, as I have gotten my bladder under control, that has gone away -- thank goodness! The ache was sooo bad sometimes, I had to sit like a bird on a perch in my chair at home!! LOL!

yea i dont think this pill is for me anyways my doc says its helping me because i use to pee 10 times be4 bed and now i dont so in my doc world that means the pill is working.. :(

With my combo of meds, I went from peeing 20-30+ times a day, down to now an average of 12. Not sure which one it is exactly, but might just be the whole package, lol!

I take the regular Ditropan only when I flare and it takes effect immediately. Eliminating all fruit was the answer for me to get mine under control.

hummmm i really dont know if fruit is the issue i never ate fruit till a yr ago,lol when i lost 91lb this meds ain't working 4 me tho..
