i was in a teribble flare as usual and i took motrin and it seemed to make me feel better is that possible?

I would say absolutely and it's great that it worked...YAY!!!!!

I think it's possible because Motrin is an anti-inflammatory. I have recently discovered that aspirin helps me a tiny bit.

The thing that makes it so hard, though, is that each IC patient is so different. Some of us flare with OTC pain relievers, and others find relief to one degree or another with them. It's so hard to predict. So you might find that motrin really helps you, but another IC patient might come along and post that motrin made her bladder pain worse. You just never know until you try something.
