How long does it take for the drink or food to bother the bladder. Say if I drank a cup of coffee at noon today how long would it take to cause a flare? Thanks

It can happen immediately or 2 days later. Sorry, Kathi

Kathi's right... everyone is different with that. Sometimes the flare can happen literally within minutes for some, and sometimes it can take a few days. Even with the same person, different things can take different times. For me, alcohol (except a few types of white wine when taken with Prelief) and artificially sweetened beverages (except those with Splenda) cause an insta-flare. However, other acidic food like tomato sauce usually gets me a day or so later.

Let me think...with me, I'll notice it in 2-3 hours. Take yesterday for instance. It was hot out and I had t glasses of iced tea at noon. It just sounded good and I forgot why I stopped drinking it. So, I thought "why not?" Then, a few trips to the bathroom later at 3:15, I had to go but couldn't. It was just like old times and NOW I remember why I gave it up.
I'm still not on track today and all I've had to drink it water. And, I've become constipated. I don't know if thats related ot not :loco: .
