Just did a quick google search and found this:

Cysto Retrogrades, which involve injecting a dye to diagnose stones or tumors in the ureter and/or kidneys.

portia17 ~ yes i have noticed that my lower back does ache a lot when im either standing or walking for a while.. but i also just found out from my cat scan that i have a kidney stone so im not sure if thats the main reason why my back hurts when im standing and walking...

Janie Miranda~ thanks for doing some reasearch... so im guessing hes going to do the cysto and the retrogrades as well which are in a way 2 different things.. just not sure if when he does the cysto hes going to do the hydro as well... well thanks for the info

Hydrodistention is almost always done in a hospital setting with anesthesia. When a bladder is empty, it collapses, kind of like a balloon with no air, so fluid is instilled so the bladder lining is visible. The term "retrograde" means backwards --- which could refer to the bladder being filled through a catheter instead of via the kidneys and ureters.

I suggest you telephone your doctor's office and ask so you will know for sure. I can always accept things better if I know what I'm facing.

Sending encouraging hugs,
Donna

I was just diagnosed about a month ago. I have not been successful in following the diet and taking my medication regulary. The only symptom that I have read is pain with sex which I have but I really don't have any other symptoms. What should I be looking for? I followed the diet for 2 wks I think successfully but did not feel any different the same with the meds. How should I be feeling? I am very lost. What does the future entail?
