Azo Septic?

My hubby brought me home pills from teh pharmacy that are NOT what I sent him for. My doctor called in scripts for percocet and pyridium. He brought me these Azo Septic pills instead of the pyrridium. The pharmacist told him they are the same thing, and much cheaper.

Anyone taken these before? I don't feel any better. Thanks.

Azo does put out a low dose pyridium.

They are actually only slightly less mg. then the pyridum and are usually much cheaper. My dr says it's the same thing too!

Thanks for the info. I do feel better, just a "normal" amount of pain now.

I am so glad the pharmacist told my husband about the AZO. I can not believe the cost difference. $2.30 vs. 19.99!!! The pharmacist is a nice guy, very caring.

And........if I might add.........there are also store brands (CVS etc) and other brands (Uristat makes one)

The BEST thing is, that if you are away from home, even doing errands, you can run into almost any pharmacy and pick some up! Better than being in agony until you can get home to your prescription Pyridium. :woohoo:
