HELLO TO ALL, MY BOYFRIEND IS A VERY SUPPORTIVE PERSON, EXCEPT FOR MY IC PAIN. I HAVE BEEN WITH HIM FOR 5 YEARS AND JUST THIS YEAR HE REALIZED IT IS SOMETHING :headbang: ONLY AFTER HE TALKED WITH ARE LANDLORD, WHO IS ALSO OUR BOSS BECAUSE WE ARE PROPERTY MANAGERS OF FIVE NEW APARTMENT BUILDINGS. i WASN'T FEELING GOOD AND MY BOYFRIEND WENT TO THE STORE WITH LANDLORD AND BY SURPRISE THEY STARTED TALKING ABOUT ME NOT FEELING WELL AND DEALING WITH IC. LANLORD SAID THAT IS REALLY WEID BECAUSE MY WIFE HAS BEEN SUFFERING FROM THAT FOR YEARS ON AND OFF. AFTER HE HAD HEARD IT FROM ANOTHER PERSON AND REALIZE THAT THIS IS NOT IN MY HEAD :loco: HE IS MORE INTERESTED. eXCEPT WHEN WE WENT TO PICK UP SOME NEW MEDICINE THAT COST $135.00 FOR ONE AND $197.00 FO ANOTHER. SO I KNOW HE CARES BUT WHAT HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT WHEN I'M LAYING IN BED TRYING TO RELAX AND HE IS CONSTANTLY MOVING IT IRRITATES ME  MORNINGS ARE THE WORST TIME FOR ME AND OF COARSE, HE STARTS THE MORNING OF WITH COUGHING AND THEN IT'S MOVING HIS ARMS AND BANGING THEM ON THE BED. I TRY TO TELL HIM THAT IT BOTHERS ME BUT THEN HE JUST THROWS IN MY FACE I CANT DO ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT ME TO MOVE YOU DONT WANT TO WAKE UP WITH ME IN THE MORNING AND YOUR ALWAYS CRABY. i'VE TOLD HIM THAT MAYBE IF HE WOULDN'T KEEP BOTHERING ME LIKE HE DOES THEN MAYBE I WOULDN'T BE SO CRABY :cussing: HOW DO I GET THIS MAN TO UNDERSTAND. I LOVE HIM AND HE LOVES ME BUT ALL WE DO IS ARGUE ABOUT MY BLADDER.

Maybe you could try laying on a pillow or something.

IC is a huge adjustment for all of us...our loved ones included.

I think you need to talk to him about what bothers you with your IC...when you are worse and what things hurt your bladder at a time when you are not arguing...to show him you just need him to understand and be more sensitive it all. From what you said I have a lot of faith that your man will come around so try to help him get there.

We need to understand that they can't possibly understand what it is like to have IC...the only way to even be close to understanding is through us...they need us for that.

God Bless!

honestly, I sent my hubby here so he could understand just what is happening, also he and I got together w/a gal from the boards, she lives only a few miles from me, and she was talking about her ic, which is much worse than mine, and he started to "get it".
