I have been reading the posts here and was wondering why so many with IC are having a hysterectomy? Is it related to the IC or something else?

i'm having a hysterectomy May 17 (that date isn't written in stone yet) but its not becasue of i.c i'm having it the reason i'm having one is because i had a leep and a lap done on feb 8 and the test came back boarder line cancer so if i have this done i don't have to worry about the cells coming back and truning into cancer.
my gyn and uro agrees it should help my i.c also because i have really painful peroids which are real heavy and causes my i.c to act up badly the week before and the week of. so if this helps my i.c this is an ex. plus for me.
i'm only having a partical.
I don't think anyone has had to have an hysterectomy due to i.c alone.
sending you hugs and prayers

My hyst was due to Stage 4 endometriosis, and some clotting disorders specifically related to my hormones.
