Does anyone have a high C-reactive protein level and also high SED rate (both are markers for inflammation somewhere in the body. Mine have been high for several months. My PC physician doesn't think it is related to IC (she has IC herself and her levels are both normal). She has done several repeat blood tests and the numbers are actually climbing. She can't find anything wrong with me (has tested for almost every disease known to mankind!) so I keep thinking it must be the IC. Anyone else have this?
Jean
Everytime my SED rate has been high my bladder is usually inflammed.

I had a lot of blood tests last year when my IC was really bad, I had a high C-reactive protein. The doctor told me it was probably the IC.

I also have a high crp. Went for heart stress tests just in case and am fine. My dr says it is either my ic or arthritis causing this, but not absolutely positive. Do you have arthritis by chance?, Sandy

Hi Sandy,
No, I don't have arthritis. She did all the heart tests as well; everything was normal except the Echo showed three leaking valves. She also had me take Pravachol (cholesterol drug) for two months because sometimes it lowers the CRP rate in people that have normal cholesterol. It didn't do anything.
