GI related question

I got a question since I always seem to be a medical challenge for my doctors. Does anyone get sick from anacids or stool softners, bowel cleaning stuff. I get sick from tums,milk of magnesia,mylanta,all bowel prep solutions, I have tried 3 and my GI says he has never heard such a thing? I also vomit usually within a half hour.

The only suggestion I can think of is for the bowel prep solution and that is to take tiny drinks every few minutes to see if it will stay down. Since bowel prep usually is without food, you might ask your doctor about phenergan suppositories to help with the nausea so you can get your test done.

I can not take the bowel prep stuff with out vomiting. Also if I take dulcolax at tijmes it has made me throw up, or get nauseus, plus this has happened with other laxative type products. Now when I need to have my bowels cleaned out i do an old fashoined prep which is a lot easier on the body. Judith

yeah thats what happens to me I cant tolerate tums ,milk of magnesia,mylanta,malox, same thing with dulcolax,fleet,prep solutions.I do take phenergan tablets every 4 hours maybe asking for the suppositories would be of help.
