Hi Everyone,
I found an article that you can take to any Physician who refuses to treat your pain. Most Physicians are not knowledgable on treating chronic pain with opiads. Maybe it is our job to give them that knowledge.......

Maybe this article may help some Physicians change their way of thinking.....let's hope so!!
Here is one more article.....

Hello I was just to pain therapy yesterday and I told my doctor that I am having to take more oral meds than usual and he said not to do that to call and they can turn the pump up. He stated that it would be better for me to get the pain pump boosted up rather than take more oral meds because of the damage to my liver from taking so much pain meds. He said with the pain pump the morphine is going directly into the sacral nerve that leads to the bladder and does not have to go through my blood stream or liver and damage any of the other organs any more than they already are.
I do not know why more people don't get the pain pump instead of taking so much oral medicine. A lady called me from Miississippi the other day and wanted to know how she could go about getting a pain pump, I told her to go to the pain clinic and talk to them doctors and they would see if it was the right thing for her to do. She said the doctors don't want to hand out pain medication any more and are saying that all these people are just junkies and want to get high. Boy if they only knew how much pain one can have with IC they would eat their words. If anyone would like to do some research on the Pain pump just into the Medtronics web site. Take care, and I will answer any questions you may have.
God Bless
