I've never had kidney stones, but my Dad has. He has the same symptoms you are having and often ends up in the ER when it happens. He has had them multiple times and he's miserable - I'm sorry you are feeling this way. I hope you feel better soon!

Take Care!

I have had the same symptoms and Thats what I thought I was passing I even actually thought I saw little black dots about the size of the dot a ink pen makes when you dot it on paper, and thats the whole reason I went the the urologist in the first place my doctor and I both thought it was kidney stones Then I was diagnosed with IC and I got a second opinion he said I didnt have IC it was a gyno problem So now I'm having a pelvic ultrasound in month to rule it out. But in my heart I think that Stones are my problem I sure hope so, cause I dont think I can live like this for ever.

I have recently had several battles with kidney stones. My main symptoms were pain very low- in the groin area (like where the labia are.) And, always feeling like I had to go to the bathroom- even when I had just gone.(That is why when this all IC stuff started for me, I thought that I just had stones again- but, the cat scan ruled that out.) I also had some blood in my urine. My back didn't bother me much until I had a blockage (the stone was stuck in my ureter, and it was blocking the flow of urine.) But, many people have back/flank pain as their main symptom. Ususally, the pain is more on one side or the other. Drink lots of water!! Unfortunately, my stones all got stuck and had to be surgically removed (which I think the surgeries caused the IC to act up.) Hopefully, yours will pass on their own. Good luck!!

Its crazy because i've been having blood in my urine now for a week! i can see it and now next week i will be my period... im hoping the cat scan i have in a few days will figure something out... my uro kept saying if u had stones this will make more sense! and after the cat scan im going 2 have another cysto... "yay" just what i wanted lol they have me on macrobid and cipro 1000 mg! which i think is really high of a dose.... but im just curious if what i have are stones of some type.. blood.. back aches and felt icky the other day...

Melissa,
I have had 10 stones in the last year and a half along with kidney infections and the IC. Oh yeah--didn't want to leave out the pesky cystocele either. My pain is usually worse on one side or the other(on top of the IC pain) and I get groin and labial pain as well. In addition, lots and lots of blood and clots.

Barb :kissing: :grouphug:

Hey Barb =)

So was when u had ur stones and had blood was it visible? like not HEAVY but bad enough 2 wear either a pad or tampon?? im thinking the blood is either from ic or stones that i can think of... what did u do for the back pain? i tried 2 take advil but of course it really doesnt work.. i ususally have a thermal heating wrap on my back but sometimes those get so hot u start to sweat... it sucks sometimes because at my job im sitting most of the time and i can never get comfortable... so any suggest on what to do for pain im all ears :bunny:

I use heat(hot shower, heating pad)plenty of fluids, and pain meds. I have had 3 stones blasted too. I can actually see the blood and don't have a uterus so I know it is not coming from there. I tend to get really bad nausea too, usually from the pain. I can't take Advil or Motrin because they make my bladder flare really really bad. PM me or email me if you want. Not feeling so hot today and tired from a weekend at the inlaws so will be home most of the day.

Hugs,
