Since I had to give up my favourite juices, now I started to drink Vitamin/ Fruit Waters by Glaceu but noticed that part of its ingredients is Citric Acid but then it says that this drink 'is not a significant source of vitamin c' . So the vitamin C is good, right? What about the citric acid? Anything with the word ACID freaks me out.

Any thing with the words "Citric" OR "Acid" freaks me out :dizzy:
I would strongly recomend not taking anything that has any of those evil words in it without talking to your uro about it

I think I read somewhere (probably on another website) that Gerber's Pear Juice is fine. Is that right? It contains vitamin C like any other juice. I just bought it today but now I'm hesitant as to why this one should really be any different.
Finally any suggestions which juices/drinks are acceptable? This question may be old and annoing to some veterans but I am so new I haven't purchased any reading material yet. I need your input.

My suggestion to people new to IC would be to restrict drinking to water for a while as you try the diet. Then, when you begin to feel a little better, you can begin to add back some of your favorites. Some of us can tolerate tiny amounts of citric acid, but during the initial diet phase, it's best to avoid it if possible. I know it's not easy at the beginning, but once you find your own personal triggers, it will be easier.
You'll find a lot of good information in the Patient Handbook at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook

I think that the Glaceu vitamin waters are no good for the bladder. Even before I had my "acute" symptoms and just was a "normal" person with above average frequency, that Vitamin water always made me have to pee more. I
loved it though.

Donna is right, stick to water (preferably spring water) for now. Even pear juice contains citric acid or/and other preservatives that can irritate the bladder
