medicine very expensive

Hello to everyone again, I had just wrote a thread on how much my ditropan XL cost. $105.00 for 30 tabs, filled 3-11-05. Called doctor to see if I could try a different pain pill. I asked for oxycontin. Well he had to write a perscription and mail it to me. Me and my boyfriend went and got perscription filled today 3-21-05 and :ignore: oh boy, $197.50 for 60 tablets. I have spent $347.00 in one week on pills. My boyfriend and i almost fell to the floor. I could not believe this. I have taken Morphine which I thought was top of line and never paid that much. No I do not have insurance and I need to get on the phone and start finding help. I can't afford this?

That is a ton of money. I would call your doctor and explain the situation. I would ask if he could give you samples of ditropan until you can get some help. He/she may also be able to get you your meds at a more affordable rate. You can go to needymeds.com for help too.

check the low income board i don't know if you apply to this but heck it don't hurt to try. medicine can really burn a hole in the pocketbook i understand fully.

I also had my new prescription filled today. Ditropan XL 10mg 30 pills cost me
$98,- /Osco Drug/. It is outrages, I also don`t have insurance.
I took extra job last month to pay for meds.
I just wish it will help, I really do hope so.
