Is it just me or does other people have lower back pain with this i.c. nightmare?
You know if this board was not here, we all would not know lot since urologists don't tell us alot
Thank you

Mary,
I have low back pain that kinda feels like Freddie Kruger is in my bladder slicing and twisting at the same time. If I don't jump on the pain early, I feel like I am having labor contractions in my back that are trying to help me deliver a bouncing baby bladder.
Hugs,

Back pain is very common with IC DRAT! We just never get enough of this wonderful disease. Hugs, Kathi

Lots of people have low back pain with IC --- it's my most frequent symptom --- but if it's something new for you, be sure to discuss it with your physician.

I am going to go to my doctor and get a referral to a physical therapist to get some exercises, low key exercizes to strengthen the back muscles. I've gone to chiropractors; helps some but not enough. In fact I had a relapse yesterday day and night and woke up with bladder and back not doing too well. It's hard to know what to do. While I experience some relief with chiropractors (my experience, I'm not a doctor or anything)......I had an appointment today with one. It was hard to know what to do, to go or cancel. I know after IC relapse that resting is better than walking somewhat farther than I ordinarily would do to get to the chiropractor. I was afraid it would overtire me and cancelled the appointment. Instead I did gentle exercises for my back which helps. I don't advise anyone to just get some exercises from the web. These were given to me by a nurse who doesn't have IC but does experience low back pain herself and found them to be helpful.
I hope all of you dealing with this find relief,
Gentle healing and hugs,
cbsummer

I too have back pain. When my bladder starts to get bad my back hurts. I then start wondering is my back making my bladder hurt or does my bladder make my back hurt. I then go to the chiropractor. My husband at that time always suggest i go see my uro. I have not had any treatments for almost 8 months now. I have just had to try to make it one day at a time(my husband hurt himself , feel off a roof) When I go I know what will happen a hydro will be scheduled. It helps but takes me a couple of weeks to get back to be able to do everyday task. My husband is just now able to get up and around and take over . So now that I have rambled on ,yes my back aches 24/7

i have had a morning back ache for years now. ever since I had my son 15 years ago. It happens while I am sleeping and wakes me up in the morning but after I get up it goes away. The gyno's I had been to said it was tilt uterus but now I believe it is caused from the IC as I don't have it anymore unless it is time for my cycle.

I have HORRENDOUS back pain. Yesterday there is no way I could MOVE without a Therma Care wrap on.
I think it's all IC related.
