Most of the times, I feel fine on the Elmiron. But every once in a while if I ate something bad, or if I am under a lot of stress, then I will be in pain and discomfort by the end of the day. I hope you get to feeling better!

The same goes for me as Kat. I for the most part feel pretty good on the elmiron and I especially feel that the klonopin they put me on for my rls has helped alot too. But once in a while I will have a bout of mild pain and pressure that causes some urgency.

Many IC patients have a relapsing/remitting course of disease like yours, while others have more constant symptoms. IC is a weird bird, it is so different in everyone! So yes, your disease sounds like it falls in the normal realm of things. Elmiron does take a while to work in many (often 6-12 months). What you'll probably notice is that the periods between your bad and good days become longer and longer, and that you'll feel better most of the time as the med kicks in.

Also, yeah, my IC is bad in the morning when I wake up, because I've been holding urine longer than usual while asleep. Then it improves... and then as evening and bedtime approaches, it tends to get worse again -- so you're not alone there either.

:grouphug: Feel better soon!!!!
