I have Endometriosis, IC, Vuvlvadynia and IBS. What a cocktail mix. LOL

Seriously though, lately I have been having increased Endo pain and the only thing I can do is take panadol (paracetamol) to ease the pain. I am considering going on the pill to stop my periods. The last time I stopped my periods with the pill (birth control) was before IC.

Has anyone got IC and Endometriosis and stopped their periods with success. I am seeing my Dr tomorrow.

What pill were you taking ? What worked and what didn't.

Did you find your IC worse or better ? I find my periods and ovulation incredibaly painful. Just hoping it will help me.

TIA

My periods are really awful now with the IC. :headbang: It was bad enough before the IC happened but I dread each month. Have always wanted a hysterecomy. While on the birth control I took it so I would only have my period every 3rd month. Talk about being in heaven. Stopped taking it due to some problems (Not with the pill or health...doctor kind). Also gained weight from it. Can't remember the pill I took. Tried 3 different kinds. Good luck with it.

i started with yasmin in december, but found it increased my potty trips. the type of progesterone in yasmin actually contains a diuretic according to my dr's nurse.

after i switched to seasonale in early feb, i'm back to normal frequency. :) it's so much nicer. my only complaint with seasonale so far is weight gain. but that seems to have stopped.

i had been doing really well regarding bladder pain for a few months before starting the pill. i was going to start cbcp anyway because of increased menstrual pain and low estrogen. right before i was supposed to start, my bladder flared pretty badly. but once i started the pill, it seemed to clear up. the pain went away at least. haven't had bad bladder pain since starting except maybe once or twice. :)

i'm doing the pill continuously, so i only get about 2 periods a year. it's kind of nice.

Dear nss,
I have not been diagnosed with endometriosis yet, but I believe I most likely have it. Every other female in my family does - no one has dodged the bullet. I have had IC for 7 years - I have had luck with BC pill Mercet in skipping my periods. I take 3 months, then have a period. The doc put me on it for my migraines - but it may not be the best for you be/c I believe it is a high dose of estrogen. Most likely, it is not the best thing for me either. However, no ever seems to have any real answers so - sometimes you just have to try different things.

Hang in there - I feel for you.
