pain since cysto/hydro

hi everyone. i just had the procedure done about a week ago. it seemed to have made it worse. i really wasn't in pain before, was just having frequency. now i have bladder cramps and it even hurts to walk. the only way i can describe it is it feels like my bladder is about to fall out of my bottom with each step. the pain is not severe, it's just wasn't there before.

how long does it take to get back to normal? (or is there such a thing?)

You can definitely see the bleeding --- usually after the bleeding stops, the bladder calms down and looks a little better. Have you been checked to be certain you don't have an infection? That sometimes happens after an invasive procedure.

Try not to worry. I had a month long flare after my hydro. I never had another. It really made it worse, but only for a month.

I mean that I never had another hydro. I continue to have flares. lol. The distention did not help me. But they help some.

PS - I also think it is possible to get a bladder infection after the hydro / cystoscopy so just something to keep in mind. You may want to get looked at.

It can take time to recovery. It cant hurt to check and make sure you don't have a infection.. Hope your feeling better soon

thanks. i'm thinking i probably don't have an infection since i had IV antibiotics during surgery then 5 days of levaquin. but i will get them to check me at my next appointment.

would an infection cause the pinpoint bleeding or is that strictly IC? i had a diagnosed infection about 1 and a half months before i went into surgery (enterococcus). i'm just confused as to whether this is really IC or if the bleeding is a result of infection. can infection cause the pinpoint bleeding?
