I've been reading lately about Peak Oil (how sometime soon we are going to have demand for oil that exceeds the supply that can be produced) and how we might have already reached that point. Kind of scary stuff.
I would ignore it, except that a congressman was on CNN the other day saying we are at that point now where demand is exceeding supply and the price is gonna go up, up, up.
Not just on gas - on food, because agriculture is extremely petrol intensive, plus food travels on average something like 1,500 miles to reach our dinner table, medicines - because petrol and energy go into them too - everything.
Anybody feeling a bit worried about this?
I wonder what it will mean in terms of all of us being able to afford health care in, say, ten or twenty years when stuff really hits the fan....
