I will call the doctor in the a.m.
Does anyone know if there are any side effects that can arise with the implant? The ras seems to be only on my legs-as well as some minor welts. I have been taking benadryl and that helps. I am so sensitive and have numerous drug allergies and even had a bad time with vancomycin for both stages. I am so worried this is from the implant-I swill find out tomorrow,

Anyone ever swell, get a rash, anything? The rash is more like when you get an "Indian burn" and you get millions of tiny blood spots. :help:

this sounds like an allergic reaction to the meds that they have given you.. I would call the dr and contiue with the benadryl. It could be the oral meds that you are taken now or the one hat was given to you in the IV when you had the surgery..
best of luck

Brat,
It appears it was an allergic reaction to something and my guess it was from the vicodin. The edema is gone and the rash fading. Phew!
Now I am having some problems with the sciatic nerve. My leg hurts worse than the incision and implant. That part seems to be doing well. My low back (where they used the scope hurts and wicked pains go down my leg. I am thinking this will be short lived and is due to maybe some inflamation because I am really swollen.
Overall, the implant seems to be doing great.
Thank you for replying.
Leslie-Thank you for replying as well.

Ok Things are looking good and on the mend! I am still swollen on and around the spine area and having pain there which I was told it could be from the pelvic floor being aggravated and not happy as well as some local swelling, but, for the most part all is going well. I can't exercise for at least 3 weeks-and that is only the treadmill. Which I am happy with that.
I did have to be re programmed because of the back pain, but really all is pretty good for now. If all goes well I don't have to go back for 6 weeks.
Anyone still having to have instillations?
