I think and my Doctors say I mostly likely have Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis!
He is also treating me for IC and MSK, (Medually Sponge Kidney Disease.)

Does anyone else know they have this? My kidneys do not process correctly and make my urine too acid? I am watching it and takine baking soda and Urocit-K. I'm wondering if this is what caused my IC or if it just makes my IC symptoms worse??
Thanks for any help!

I would have to say it probably makes the IC worse because your kidneys are producing to much acid and acid is what makes the pain of a ic patient. Here is a good website that explains rta MedlinePlus Medical (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000493.htm) Maybe it will help you to understand a little more.
