Men's Sexual IC Problems

I'm 24 and have just recently been diagnosed with IC. I am not sexually active nor do I masturbate. However, it seems when I get strongly aroused, it causes some severe flare ups, sometimes lasting a few days after I get to see my fiance' (we live in different towns). It also seems that right after I have a wet dream (my only form of release, for a few more months at least!) I am less likely to have problems due to sexual arousal, and as time goes by, things are more and more senstive. I am a little nervous about sex after we get married. I really hope it doesn't hurt! I've waited this long, it would really suck if my first time kept me on the couch during our week in hawaii. Anyone else run into similar problems?

I think it is awesome that you have saved yourself until your wedding night. My hubby is the only partner I have had and it is a truly special gift to bestow on your mate. With that being said, if actual intercourse is the issue, who says there aren't other ways to express your love and passion on your honeymoon and Hawaii is definitely an awesome place to do that. I have been married for almost 8 years and the IC thing was diagnosed almost two and a half years ago. The IC survival guide has some awesome tips as well as some threads on the board. My hubby is in Iraq and after he returns we are planning on taking a second honeymoon to Hawaii(where we went for the first) and I too am afraid that I will be in horrible pain and not able to complete acts when he returns. I know there are other guys here on the board who can help you out with the guy part--I realize my words cannot help you there. Can just let you know from the gals perspective and hopefully the guys will pipe in...
