Seeking support in NE GA & Western NC

After being diagnosed in Jan, I'd like to find some support from others with IC who live in extreme NE GA or extreme western NC. I would love to start a group or just be able to chat with someone close to my home in the mountains of GA.

I live close to Jasper, Ga. How near or far apart are we? I Was diagnosed with IC about 4 years ago after a nightmare of about 10 years of unbearable pain. The most disheartening thing to me is that IC doesn't "show" and you get little sympathy after awhile. Not that I want a lot, it's just that it is hard to carry on a regular life, ie "travel" care of children, cooking, (finding things to eat) cleaning, my artists duties, "wifely" duties etc. My family is supportive and my husband great, but face it, If you don't LOOK sick then people tend to forget that you are!(and who wants to remind them!)
I feel bad when I have to say "Please don't go to that restaurant, they don't have anything I can eat" How about you? Sue Skeen :bonk:
