we lost the baby...

It is with a heavy heart and incredible despair that I share this news.

At 18 weeks (in my 5th month) we discovered that there was no heartbeat at our last ultrasound appointment this past Friday. I was induced and yesterday evening I delivered a beautiful baby girl who was stillborn. I'm still quite tired and incredibly sad, but my husband and I felt a sense of peace when the baby was born - a feeling that was surprising but welcome. She is a beautiful baby, and although our time with her was short, we cherish each moment that we had with her. She truly was a gift from God.

What an incredibly beautiful and personal moment you share during a most incredibly sad time. You are an incredible mother and your daughter was so very lucky to have had you no matter the length of time. I hope you and your husband are able to take very gentle care of each other, no one, no matter how heartfelt can know what you feel now. I wish you peace, strength and every moment needed to allow yourself all the feelings you will need to go on despite your heavy heart. Alexa, I sorry this is a litttle late as I haven't been on the boards much lately.
I wish to give you & your husband love & careing thoughts at such a tragic time in your lives.
I of my dear friends lost her second son not long ago. Everything was fine until 2 days after he was born they started to see sympotoms that things were not quiet right with him, he died only 4 days after birth. There was alot of gentic complications with this case & am sure it is in no way realated. IF you ever need any to talk to anyone about the loss of your child she would be will to help in any way she could, she is no expert, but has been through it, she knows the pain , anger , confusion that comes with it.
You probary have plenty of helpers, or for now mabey just you & hubby are needed some time together. But please feel free to let me know if you feel like a chat to a compleate stranger, sometimes that helps too.
I don't know what else to say but you are in my thoughts, & she was the most beautiful thing to enter your lives, even it was only a short time, those memories are yours too keep. GOD BLESS
