Has Anyone Here Taken Alganot For 3 Monhs?

I got my bottle of Alganot yesterday and I took 2 capsules and an hour later I was out of it. I slept for 3 hours. Now i will only take it before bed.

I am really hoping this works, but I am a realist.

I've been at it for 1 1/2 months now with no side effects from it. I was afraid to take it because it seems with any pill I end up with every side effect there is. I can tell it is helping some already. I don't feel so tired. No sleepy feeling from it. Infact just the opposite. :)

I've been on it for about 2 months and it is helping me. I'm going to give it the full three months at 6 capsules a day, then reduce to 4 capsules a day as directed on the bottle. It was about 2 weeks after I started it that I had a day when I really felt great, and since then I've had the usual ups and downs, but I have to say the whole picture is getting better for me. The first month I was on it I had NO ovulation flare and the PMS flare was greatly reduced. Good luck, and keep us posted how you're doing on it!

ok thanks, I am really hopeful about this. my bladder is so damaged that I know it will take a few months to start the healing process.
I also have flares during PMS and that is the most terrible thing for me. As if IC isnt enough, just throw periods on top of it.
Anyway, thanks for replying and I will let you know if I notice anything.

I AM STARTING MY 4th MONTH, I JUST FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS ON THE INSTRUCTION SHEET THAT CAME WITH THE PILLS. AN HAVE HAD NO SIDE EFFECTS,I DO KNOW WHEN I WAS OFF FOR A COUPLE DAYS TO HAVE SOME TEST DONE ,I NOTICE A DIFFERENCE HOW I FELT.AS SOONE AS I WAS BACK ON IT I KNEW IT. MY MEDS ARE ELMIRON,AN IMPRAMINE, ALGONAT. I ALSO TAKE VITIMINS,CALCIUM,STOOL SOFTERS,CITRUCEL. AN I FOLLOW THE IC DIET AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE.I WILL BE GETTING THE INTERSTIM IN APRIL.

I just started taking algonot again, I should have never stopped. I started taking it over a year ago this September. after a few weeks I finally had some relief (which was alot more than my doctors did and less exspensive). This past spring my symptoms were all but gone, so stupidly I stopped taking them. I was fine for most of the Summer but just recently I started having symptoms again. So I am back to taking them and this time I wont stop. As for the side affects... I have never had any? I actually feel better.

I had taken cystoprotect for 3 months as directed. I had no side effects.

1. It decreased my flare ups
2. helped with urgency and frequency
3. totally reduced the" pouchy belly" smytoms -my stomach was flat enough that I could wear jeans that I haven't been able to button up!


I wanted to do an experiment and stop taking for a while, just to see if there was a noticable difference. After 2 months of Not taking cystoprotect I am in severe pain and all the above problems have returned.:bonk:
I know now this product really works for me and will keep you posted as I continue to use.

I have been taken it for 1 YEAR and 8 months. I have had no side effects from it at all. They other thing that is really helpful (my doctor told me this) is the hyluronic acid. The hyluronic acid helps with the lining of the bladder. It does not cause acid is your stomach--don't be fooled my the name.

I have been taking cystoproteck for 8 months. It started helping significantly after 3 months. I got off it for a week after 6 months and my symptoms came back so I got back on. I have had some flares but not like before. I started being able to eat more fruit in the summer which helped my over all health.
I no longer take any pharmacueticals. I do a lot of raw veggie juicing to detox from all the years of hi protein and medicines.

Have taken Algonot for five months four a day along with Elmiron three times a day. I would take it even if it did nothing as its a great preventative for arthritis and inflammation. I feel it works well with Elmiron and I feel it has lessened my urethral pain and bladder pressure before I added the Elmiron.

hi there,
researching my options here & came across this thread-I am considering trying Algonot Plus (is that right?) for pain and frequency rather than moving right into elmiron, installations etc...gosh I am such a chicken!
it helps to see that others have not noticed side effects. I am trying the diet but really don't see much difference, except feel unhealthy having no fruit.
I am doing PT and take paxil, and benefiber-wonder if you all are still doing great on algonot?
