I am having Phase 1 Interstim Surgery next Friday, and I was hoping that those who have been through it could answer a few basic questions for me.
- How many days will it take me to recover from the procedure?
- Will I be able to wear my jeans home from the hospital?
- How soon after they do the procedure do they typically do the Stage 2 (permanent) procedure?
- If it works for me, how quickly should I expect to see a difference?
It would be great if some of you who had this done could answer these questions for me, so I can get a few peoples' opinions. Thanks in advance.

I just had mine done in January, I was not able to wear jeans at all, and still have trouble wearing them, they rub the incision and it is still tendor. They trial was easier then the stage 2 which was done 2 weeks after the trial. you will be tender but nothing worse then what your used to with a bad flare.Rest and take it easy, don't do anything you don't have to do. Keep us posted.

No you will not be able to wear jeans it would be very painful and uncomfortable for a few weeks. For me with the temp. in 3 days I felt better I had the temp placed Jan. 28 and the permanent on Feb. 16 and honestly I'm a little sore but where they implanted my implant I can where my regular jeans but it depends where they put it . So I hope your surgery goes real good and is very successful. You will know when it works for you when you do your voiding diary for several days and if its working you will know.
