As some of you may have read, my 14 month old nephew Deryck was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis on Monday. I am signing up a team for a local walk in May. Donations can be made, there are items that can be purchased that go toward research, or you can make a team and walk in your area. I realize that everyone here is fighting for a cause of their own. Even if you would just spread the word about Deryck and so many others that are fighting for their lives. IC won't take my life, so I feel I must help to fight for his.

Thanks so much for your well wishes. You have no idea how much it means to me and my family.
Well, I have decided to go a little off the deep end with a strange fundraiser. I have enlisted the help of 5 women, all members of my family. We are going to hold an auction. The high bidder of each auction will get to shave our heads! Starting bid will be $500. Sorry but I just can't let my hair go for any less than that.....lol And it's for a good cause! I have a local radio station in on it too. They are going to promote the event and make sure all the money is donated to the CFF. Wish us luck and hope some people wanna pay big bucks to see me bald.......lol My mom is one of the people who is going to do it with me, I think I'd be willing to pay to shave hers...hehehe

What a great sister and aunt! My prayers are with you and I admire your perserverence for your nephew's cause and a cause for many children. I hope you recieve tons of support for your walk and for your shaved heads. It is truly a noble gesture and somehow, I think you will meet some terrific folks along this journey and share a few laughs as well. You go girl! Many spirited thoughts sent your nephews way, as well!
