Anyone who has Discovery Health Channel... please consider watching/taping/recording this show. This is the debut of the show, so I'm not sure how helpful it will be. I hope this helps to bring about more education and funding.

TTTS is the syndrome that we lost our twin sons to a few months ago. As March 25th approaches (what should have been their birthdate), it continues to be a difficult time for us. -Melanie & Mike

Twins in Peril: Twin to Twin Transfusion

In each set of twins, one baby grows much faster than the other, because one baby pumps blood directly into the system of the other. The "donor" baby is unable to produce amniotic fluid and the recipient baby is surrounded by too much amniotic fluid.

Discovery Health Channel (for us: it's channel 220)

Great to see Melaine that there will be that show for you & your family to watch. Unfortunatly it won't be on over here in Australia, otherwise I would have taken the time to watch it. I hope you benifit from it somehow.
I also have a close friend who lost her son 14days after his birth, so have witnessed the pain you are going through. I could only being to imange what loosing a child would be like. MY dear friend has just been through hell these past couple of weeks with his first birthday then his death aniversery 2 weeks later. She has another beautiful son almost 3 now, he is what has pulled through alot of hard times & leaning on family & friends to give her help & support when she needs it.
I hope you & your Hubby are getting plenty of love & support when nedded.
Well I hope the show is postive for you, let us know.
Take care

Thanks for the heads up, Mel. I intend to catch it. I had a friend who went through this 7 or more years ago.......I don't think they even gave her a name for the condition/disease.

Hugs to you.....I still think of you guys often...... :grouphug:

Melanie,
I have been hooked to DHC for years and had already heard of the condition when you found out about your precious angels. I thought the show was well done, and just wanted to say that starting a thread about your loss and this show leaves me in awe of your strength. You are amazing.

Hugs,
Barb :kissing:
