9 hours later and I am finally home.

I had my cysto/hydro today.. 9 nine hours later and I am home. After the procedure I retained urine for hours. They finally cathed me.. Ouchhh I am in quit a bit of pain. The uro said I have IC which I already knew but he said a mild form. My last too said severe. I asked if it got better he said maybe and I asked why I am in more pain. He said he did not know. My urine that is dribbling out has blood and mucus in it has been for a few hours. They said I might have to keep cathing myself for the evening and gave me flowmax to take along with cipro for a few days. I am off to rest up

Aaah Kelly I really feel for you, having gone through the same thing a week ago. I think I was in there for 8 hours, when they told me it would be 3 or 4! I am so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain and have to cath yourself, yucky!! Did they give you pain medicine, I really hope so. I know that for me, peeing was such agony, I can't imagine how you feel with a catheter!
I hope it gets better soon. Let us know how you are doing.

sorry kelly i do so know what you mean i had to cath my self for two day's after my last surgery on the eighth and i'm still retaining awful hope you feel better soon much love sent you way with prayers Rhonda

Thanks everyone your support helps. This one is a doozy. Neither one of the other cysto/hydros felt like this. It hurts a whole lot. I do have pain meds fortunately but they are not cutting it. I tried to rest but its hard. I will see what tomorrow brings and call the uro's office if I have too. They did do a bag of cipro in my IV and a script for cipro plus flomax for home. They gave me 3 pain shots in recovery room plus meds at home and its extremely painful to go to the bathroom. Its gonna be along night unless I zonk out.. I hope so cause my bladder is not a happy camper right now. I asked in the hospital if the pain this time could be from the wash they used but they really were not sure what happend. The said I broke out during procedure with hives they gave me IV benedryl when I woke up the hives were all over and a ton of bladder discomfort. Hoping tomorrow it will feel better

I am 90% better today I finally fell asleep had many trips to the bathroom but went right to bed each time. Thanks soooo much for all the support.
