I am 7 weeks pregnant!! I am so amazed that so far I'm feeling okay. My IC is not as bad as I thought it might be. I am having trouble emptying my bladder. I read that as the uterus grows it presses against the bladder and that is what causes increased frequency. Maybe that's why I am also having difficulty emtying my bladder.
My Mom had IC before she got pregnant with me. She went into remission for 31 years and it is now coming back. I hope I have the same results as she did. But so far I'm not into remission.
Does anyone know if one goes into remission, when does it start, is it right from the beginning of the pregnancy?
Anyway I am glad to have you all to talk to as the weeks go by. :)

The bigger I got the more frequency I had to deal with. My IC did get worse during pregnancy but it was out of control before I became pregnant.

Yay! Congrats on the new baby info.!!
I had a miserable pregnancy, non-ic related. But the frequency is tough as the baby grows inside you and puts pressure on your bladder.
I had a remission for 4 great months after my son was born. I didn't have to take elmiron or anything during that time. Now my IC is back to the same way pre-3 year old son.
I hope you have good luck and your IC is o.k to deal with........I want you to lay back and enjoy this wonderful time in your life!! :kissing:

Congratulations and good luck. Everyone is different and I am finding out now that every pregnancy can be different as well. I am into my second pregnancy with IC. With my daughter two years ago my IC improved almost from the start, but with this one it is very flared.

My IC went into remission during pregnancy. Around my 3rd month, and has been that way until just a few weeks ago. My daughter is 6 1/2 months old. I'm just grateful for the time I had! Congrats on the new baby and I hope everything goes well for you!
:woohoo: CONGRATS ON BEING PREGGERS!!!! Personally I had bladde problems prior to being pregnant with my 2 (they didn't call it IC but all the symptoms were the same). Didn't start back up with problems till my younges was about a year old. Hopefully you will have to good fortune of having no problems, a healthy and happy pregnancy and a beautiful baby (but aren't all babies beautiful?). Again congrats!!! Enjoy this time!! It's the only time you can eat and say screw it-I am eating for 2!! ;) :biglaugh:

Went to have my first Dr. appt. on Wed. and found out that my baby had not heart beat and stopped developing a few weeks ago. Had a good cry for 2 days and now I am optomisitc to try again in a few months. Thanks for all your good wishes and notes earlier.
