Coral Calcium

Someone had written in that they had tried Coral Calcium and they had been sympton free for almost two years. Has anyone else had similar experiences? My 15 year old daughter was recently diagnosed and I am looking for as many answers as I can.

I do take coral calcium....I test my Ph every so often and I know less acid in me feels good. I do think there are some coral calciums out there that are just fake though! Hope that helps you!

Ive heard of coral calcium being helpful because it buffers acid, etc and less acid in the bladder means less irritation, but as far as it being a cure, I'm sure there is more to the story than just taking coral calcium. There is an NP in Washington, D.C. that just opened her practice and should be able to help your daughter out a great deal. There is a site that contains one of many of her articles, and discusses her IC (which has been in remission for years now). PM me if you want more info.

I wasn't able to tolerate coral calcium but what I did discover was, although can't tolerate calcium citrate or calcium carbonate, I can tolerate calcium lactate so I started taking that (menopause) and found that it also wiped out that spasm kind of feeling. If I start to have that feeling like spasms coming on, and then take my dose, it goes away without going there.

I take coral calcium that is from the originator of the whole thing (Robert Barefoot?) Unfortunately it contains vitamin c so it can be irritating. Is there any out there that doesn't contain vit c?

I would ike to know if you can take coral calcium if you take perscriptions? Will it interfere?

I have IC and have been having acid reflux. My husband takes coral calcium bought at Hi-Health, faithfully and doesn't get colds or flu. So just on chance I took some day before yesterday and today and my flare seems to be dying down, I'm actually feeling better. Maybe this will help.
