IC is taking over!! Help me

:toilet: I haven't been this bad in years!! I am out of sick days at work as of today and don't see gettting better soon.
I am depressed angry frustrated feed up.
My husband picked this week to give up chewing tobacco and he is a grouch, my mother is no help
I feel like just screaming
I hate this disease
I wish it would go back to the place it came from.
I hate feeling this way. I have taken pain meds till I think they are making me sick at my stomach
I am really needing some support. Help me :toilet: :help: :help:

It doesn't sound like you are getting much--if any--relief from your meds! Can you make an appointment with your specialist to see if other meds can be explored? IC pushes most of us to the end of our rope at one point or another. I had constant pain for two years before we found the medication that works. Be persistent with your doctors and, if you are in pain, let them know! I hope better days are ahead soon!

Are you following an IC diet? That can be so important.

If the pain pills are making you ill, maybe your doc can call in a script for Phenergan for the nausea due to the meds. If you get pain shots of things like Demerol, they are given with Phenergan(some docs use Vistaril too)to help potentiate the narcotic which in real people speak--causes more of a sedative effect(makes you sleepier) and helps the med work longer. The pharnacy and your doc are of course the absolute sources of meds and info. If you need anything I at all, please let me know, even if you just need to talk. My hubby is in Iraq so I have plenty of free time(aside from my little kumquat who is currently watching Happy Healthy Monsters with Elmo. I hope you start feeling better soon.
