Biopsy

Hi Everyone,
I am having my 7th cysto/overdistention on the 21st. Ususally they give me great relief. However, This new uro I have is going to do a biopsy. He also will remove any polyps if there are any on my bladder?????Also if he wants to check my kidneys at the same time he will. None of my uros have ever told me I had polyps on my bladder and hopefully he won't see the need to check my kidneys. My question is, does the biopsy add any more to the after-procedure pain? If anyone can give me some info or input i would greatly appreciate it.

Well to some biopsies do add to the pain....to some not much. It is pretty normal to get a biopsy at least once and many don't notice it. I hope your procedure goes well. Good luck!!! :grouphug:

my first hydro there were 24 polyps. That was in 93, this last one in 05 I had no polyps at all and he finally got to see the scarring that made him diagnose me with the IC. So yea. the polyps grow from some of the infections they tell me.
