Hi I have been taking Algonot for about four months. But I recently had a flare up and would like to start taking Cystoque. My question is, should I wait for a couple of days, taking nothing before I start the cystoque? Can anyone help with that? Thanks, Judy G

Hi Judi!
Cystoprotek (is that the one you meant, by the Algonot people?) has the same active ingredients.....glucosamine chondroitin in olive seed oil....that Algonot has. The difference is that the Cystoprotek has the addition of sodium hydrolaurate (spelling?) and another ingredient shown through studies to help our bladders. So, if it were me, I'd continue taking the Algonot until my supply was exhausted and then start the Cystoprotek. The manufacturers usually include a sheet showing the active ingredients in their products so you can compare them when you get your new supply of Cystoprotek.

I ran out of Algonot for 1 week before starting the Cystoprotek and really noticed the difference so I really try not to let my supply of Cysto...run low. It's not worth the pain.

Hope this helps! :)

Or are you trying CystaQ? smiles.......

I don't see any reason why you should wait between trying one and then the other.

Hi, my mistake, my question is the difference between CystaQ and Algonot. So I guess it goes like this; Has anyone seen the difference between Algonot and CystaQ. I have been using the Algonot both three and five (label names)but have been having a flare and wondered if I should try the CystaQ. Do you see immediate relief? Thanks Judy G

I saw immediate relief from the CystaQ and still have relief. I an on my third month now. You may want to read up on the two supplements because they are slightly different from each other.

CystaQ's ingredients are anti-inflammatory with valerian which is an herbal remedy for anxiety. Algonot products have two ingredients that they believe can actually help rebuild the GAG layer of the bladder. They both seem to have a lot of reasearch to back up their formulas. :-)

Thanks Julie B, you made it seem so clear. I have tried to read both research data for CystaQ and Algonot but got lost in too much info to process. I appreciate your help in making simple and clear. Judy G
