I just found out I was pregnant, and my Dr. told me to continue with the Elmiron. I don't know anyone else who has done this. Any ideas? :hmm:

Dr. Lowell C. Parsons, whose transcript appears on this sight, says that he recommends that people take Elmiron until they get a positive pregnancy test, then stop. I also called the company and they said basically that it is up to the discretion of the Dr. and the patient. They have tested it in rabbits at levels 4 to 16 times the level we use, and it has not damaged the fetus. But....

Rabbits are not the same as humans genetically. Also, how do they know those little rabbits don't have learning disorders or ADD. How do they know they won't develop ulcers, cancer, or Alzeimers? ;) I am really only half kidding. I am not worried that my child will be missing a limb, but I am worried that she may have trouble in school, or may develop something further down the line.

I guess it is easy to be paranoid when it comes to puting limitations on a limitless child.
