To keep my promise I said that I would keep you updated on what's been going on, So far my doctor found an ear infection and treated that and this thursday I'm going in for a physical and he's already told me we'll do everything blood work wise to figure out why my hair has been falling out (while not on medication) and all the other things bothering me. Plus also found out that the pain in my legs is from my knees and might be caused because of my meniscus (sp??) being damaged but not quite sure. May have to go to a orthopedic surgeon possibly. I'll let you know more updates once I get them. Hopefully my doc will find out what's causing these other problems *keeping fingers crossed*

Well went to the appointment today and the doctor says that I still have fluid in my ears which is strange cause I'm almost finished the medication he gave before. He also did all the blood work so if I don't hear back in a couple of days then my results were normal which still doesn't explain why I'm feeling so horrible. He is however referring me to see an Orthopedic surgeon so that we can find out if there is any damage to my knees (due to the badly knocked knees thing). Plus he's got me going for a hearing test and wants me to see the eye doctor due to vision problems...
Hoping that the bloodwork will give a little bit at least to help me understand why I'm still not feeling so great even though my IC is in remission....
I'll continue to keep you all posted

Thanks for the hugs

Hi Amy,
Have you had a thyroid test done? I think people with underactive thyroid get body aches and hair loss. Maybe that's all it is! I sure hope it's something simple. Feel better, and keep updating!

Jess

I'm pretty sure with the blood test he's checking the thyroid levels as well. I know that I have a thyroid nodule but that hasn't done anything so no cause for concern right now (just have to keep an eye on it since my mother had a similar type of cancer when she was in her 20's). My Physiotherapist was questioning about Rheumatoid Arthritis running in the family due to some of my symptoms but it doesn't so we're pretty sure that's not the cause of it. I just hope this isn't going to take forever to find out like my IC was at first, Don't wanna have to go through that again. I'll continue to keep you posted.

Well it's been roughly a week since I saw my doctor and never heard back which means my blood results were normal again. Maybe I'm lacking a vitamin or mineral or something which could possibly be causing the problems I've been having. I also have to make sure he put through the referral for the orthopedic surgeon. I just wish that whatevers wrong with me wouldn't keep hiding grrr. I'll let you know if anything changes, thanks all for reading.

Further update....
I don't need to get knee surgery since he told me there isn't much they can do for the type of knee problem I have since it has to do with the bones, so I now have anti inflamitory oil and also have to continue Physio. I was feeling pretty good up until 3 days ago when I decided to head out. While on the subway I nearly passed out a couple of times not sure why either. What seems to happen is I get really lightheaded and feel extremely spaced out then I seem to get pains in my rib cage area. My mom says I get very pale in the face and look extremely tired like I might just fall down and go to sleep right then and there. I have no idea what this is and every test my doctor has put me through which isn't all that he could do have all come back negative. My mom thinks that it's because I'm not getting enough protien as a lacto ovo vegetarian. Are there other vegetarians that get this or is this just another strange unknown thing that I have going on?
Thanks for reading.

:grouphug: I sure wish I could help you. I would get like that somtimes myself at one point. I get really low blood pressure and a rapid heart beat...not sure if one of them was the cause or what for me....but it has been better with my heart med. Sure hope you get the answer or answers you need and head toward feeling better. :grouphug:

i had another three epidsodes today of feeling faint and lightheaded. I also get this sound and feeling like my head or atleast it sounds like my body is vibrating if that makes any sense. It's getting harder and harder for me to go out far places since I'm afraid to go alone when I feel this way. I've tried eating more protien and so far that hasn't helped. Today I even seemed to have hallucinations for some strange reason. I just wish I knew what was causing this and how I could make it better. It's really scarying me not knowing and my doctor having no clue either since all my tests show negative.
I'll keep you posted on anything new that happens.

Are you taking any herbal remedies? What you are feeling sounds like it could be a medication reaction, which is very possible even with herbs. It also sounds like malnutrition is a possibility, but it would have to be extreme --- are you losing weight or have you lost a lot of weight? I think you really should pursue this until you find the answer --- even if it means second opinions from different doctors. What you are feeling is not normal.
Oh, yes --- another possibility is a residual from the ear infection, which can take months to go away.

currently I'm not taking any medications herbal or prescription. From the results of my hearing test they say that my ears are fine, no blockage and looks completely clear. The even stranger part I haven't lost any weight but did gain over the past month been going up and down by 10-15 lbs lately over a few month span. I have been eating loads of vegetables and fruits and cheese and more egg now. But so far nothing seems to help. I definitely think if this continues I am just going to ask for a second opinion cause I'm tired of feeling like I am going to black out at any second.
Plus I have been having weird things happening with my one eye, the colours are very dulled which I will be getting checked out when I get my eyes checked. plus the lightheaded spells and buzzing sound seems to get worse when I get over heated or i'm in a really warm place. One thing I did find out last night during one of these spells I took my blood pressure and my pulse was 87 when resting which is a little odd for me. Hopefully I'll find out soon what's going on. I'm tired of feeling like I'm not me.
