It's lamb time

Our little flock of sheep has now produced six lambs, one of whom is coal black and sooooo cute! We had one little "bummer" lamb (which means it's rejected by it's mother and needs to be bottle fed). We have friends with two children who really wanted a lamb to bottle feed so we gave them the lamb, with their parents' approval. They are totally enjoying having a lamb all their own --- and when a lamb is bottle fed, it's so tame it will follow people around and really become a pet if it's allowed.

I think our little lamb, now named Cody (we don't name our sheep) has landed in lamb heaven!

Oh Donna that is so sweet.
I'm sorry the little lamb was rejected by its mother but to have those children raiseing it with a bottle and all just sounds so sweet.

What a neat thing for those kids. I love baby animals. Even if they grow up to be big, stinky animals!

Awww sweet..A friend of mine in Quebec have sheep and they usually have one or two they have to bottle fed.. My Mum has held one in her lap and fed it...I had the priveledge to bottle feed a calf and that was neat..
