I feel like spongebob...

Have you seen that episode of spongebob where he goes up to land to visit sandy and the land critters?He says "water, I need water!!!" Probably only the people with kids have seen it, but last week my doc increased my ditropan xl to 30mg. Does anyone else take this dose? I swear every half hour my mouth just dries up. This morning when I got to work I was talking to my mom and I kept smacking my mouth together trying to swallow, there wasn't anything to swallow. I guess I am going to be one of those drinking a gallon of water a day. Does anyone have problems with crystal light? I don't know if I can drink that much plain water a day but I guess I'll get used to it.

I also took ditropan xl and I was dried up every where not water or anything I would drink would stop the thirst. When I went back to my uro he lowered my dose and it still didn't work for me I still had the same symptoms because, they are very bothersome. So, you might want to talk to your doctor about this.

15 mg of Ditropan XL dries me up. So much so that my lips stick to me teeth.
Gotta love those anticholinergics.

Yea you gotta love them. let me tell what a laugh I had last weekend, My Detropan and his Neurotin are on the kitchen counter so when we get a drink before bed you rember to take them. I knocked them over accidently, I always look to make sure I am taking the right meds. Not him he just took them (2). when I got up in morning to see if I needed to fill mine again and said I thght I had more then I do, you picked up mine I said- no,no, brain surgeon, so he had taken 2 Detropan xl. Dumb dumb bunny

Hi, I have Sjogrens, and I can identify with the spongebob on land feeling. Anything with citric acid in it such as Crystal Light is very bad for us, and I always have a flare when I drink something like that. I dont have any answers. I drink a ton of water, and occasionally I will have some pear juice in my water or blueberry juice in my water. My advice is to get a juicer and a blender, and make your own cocktails without all those nasty preservatives that make us sick.

Does anyone else have any recipes for stuff we can drink. I am diabetic too, and I stay away from aspertame as well. Splenda will make me have diahrrea instantly.

I will not take any meds that say dry mouth is an issue. I cant deal with the dryness. I stopped taking elmiron, and Ditropan XL, as well as the other brand. I guess it will be all natural for me. :welcome:
