I was born in Salt Lake City, and spent my childhood there. Now I live in Mesa AZ. My sister-in-law lives in Lindon, and we go up to visit sometimes. We used to have a lot of family ther, but we have relocated. It seems I come from a long line of whiners who do not like the cold. ;)

Hi, I live in SLC full-time, and work up at the university. Nice to see there are some locals around here!

Oh...U of U? Half of my family went to BYU, but I like you anyway ;) I myself went to ASU so I have no bias. I told my husband I would consider moving back to Utah just for the Tulips :) It is so beautiful up there.

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone out there is from Nevada, around Lake Tahoe or Reno. I would really like to meet someone who is dealing with this same situation. Thanks, Judy G

Hey!
I live in Utah! About a hour and a half north of Salt Lake, but will be moving to Salt Lake in August to go to school. I just moved back here from being in Nevada for about 5 weeks, job didn't work out. How old are you all that live here in Utah? Im almost 19, so I'm guessing you all are probably older than me! Nice to see a messege about Utah, and fellow Utahn's! ~Rachel

hey Tommygal
I am 37....a little older. How long have you had IC? I was diagnosed after my daughter was born in 1998.

Hi Haysmom,
I'm not sure how long I have had IC, but we believe such I was a little kid. Have had frequent urination for as long a I can remember. (almost 19 now) and had problems with pains and other things for 6 years. So I'm quite used to all of it. I mean I hate it, but it's how I have been living my life for a long time! Always planning around going to the bathroom! :P So how do you treat your IC? ~Rachel

I am on ditropan and elavil from my uro, and pain meds from my family practice doc. I am not crazy about my uro. Who do you see?

Well I live up by Ogden, so see someone in Ogden. I have only seen him a few times. He seems pretty good though, and actually does research on IC, and continues to learn about the treatments and stuff. I am seeing him again on Thrusday, to figure out what to do about the IC now. Does the pills you are on help any? In August I will hopefully down in Salt Lake living and going to school, that is if I can figure out how to pay for school and living, since I'm too sick to work. So you work at the U right, what do you do there?

I am a medical coder at the hospital. The ditropan I didn't think was working until I stopped taking it. It does work. Detrol didn't work. Usually one works and the other doesn't. The elavil helps to sleep so you don't have to get up 5 times during the night now I get up once maybe twice. I hope you can find something to help you.

I live Midvale, just a few minutes from Salt Lake City. Just been diagnosed a few months ago with IC and I am trying to figure out ways to deal with it day to day. We should start up a support group here, because that would be nice to have. Nobody really to talk to about this around here...

Hello I live in Perry by Brigham City, about a half hour from Ogden.
I'm 24 symptoms started at 19. It would be great to have a support group.
