Well, my very "supportive" (ha, ha) ob/gyn said not to worry about spotting for two months straight while on the birth control pill. Actually, it is pretty heavy and I really don't mind using millions of pads a day. He said, "Well, if it isn't bothering you too much, carry on. Perhaps by the third month it will straigthen out and, if not, then we can discuss other options." Hello .... why do you think I am calling you? It's not like I love the sound of your voice. I am sick of wearing diapers every day, buddy! Seriously, the next time I see him, perhaps I should give him the bills for all the sanitary supplies. How can a male dr. possibly understand what it is like to bleed every day for two months! Then, add my other conditions on top and I am a real joy to live with. Wonder why?

(((hugs)))

i know the feeling. when i was on lupron, i spotted and bled for 7 weeks. finally, the nurse told me she demanded he do something. he did give me some estrogen replacement. maybe you need a pill with a higher estrogen dose? it did work for me at that time. nowadays when i tell him my periods are heavy or something, he listens. remember, the nurses seem to be in charge most of the time. ;) after all, most of them can relate.

hope you get through to him soon.

oh yes, I would so love if my ob/gyn got a period. At his office, he doesn't have a nurse but, for my next visit, I will take my hubby. I find male dr.'s listen better when my husband is present. Thanks Holly!!!!!!!!!
