Well tomorrow is the day for the surgery for permanent implant of the Interstim....So far things are ok, but I have to admit this whole thing so far is literally a pain in rear...My bottom and lower back where the incision is hurts and sleeping is just terrible...I just can only pray tomorrows surgery goes ok and I will heal ok..My upper bottom where the bandages are has been a pain..I think it is cause of the dressings but it has made it itch at times and I feel my sweats rubbing up against it all the time...my bottom cheek hurts alot to, but I guess that is the price I have to pay for this condition to have a normal life..I have noticed alot of improvements frequency wise and believe it or not IC pain..Only pain I seem to be having is from the incision area..I am so scared all the time I am gonna rip the wire out my back, so I have remained in bed alot, but as u know when u are a mom no one else likes to do dishes and stuff so I have tried to do some of that when I feel ok...If any one can give me some advice on all this let me know..Otherwise I'll keep u posted sometime in the next day or two..

It will getbetter, your Perm. inplant with be tender also, so beware. It is a little more uncomfortable then the trial, but not untolerable. Just rest and take it easy and it will slowly feel better. It has been a week since my perm. implant and it is getting less sroe, however you will need some time to adjust to the puffy butt cheek. LOL

Hi, Jennifer, I think it's a really good sign that your IC symptoms have diminished greatly. I think that is reason to hope the permanent implant will do that for you too!

I know this part of the whole process is so yucky - I hope they give you good pain meds (so you can sleep some at least and not be in too much pain). Each day after the permanent implant is done, you should be feeling better and better.

Blessings, Lori

Thanks for writing me back...I haven't really noticed my cheeks being puffy cause I guess u could say that were very puffy before hand...lol I am gonna try to just take it easy rest of the week easy and things should be ok...So why do u think the permanent surgery is more uncomfortable? I feel like an 80 yr old woman when I walk so hope it is not too much worse than this....wish me luck...Thanks for your advice

Jennifer,

The perm. is a little deeper into the tissue of the butt and a couple inches longer , LOL and trsut me I have plenty of tissue there. Take care, you will fell your age and walk better real soon. Hubby says I look like I am walking with a monster inflammed hemoroid hanging :biglaugh:
