Well this afternoon was my stage 1 of Interstim surgery and so far so good...i am kinda tired still and out of it, but decided to get out of bed to get on here and post a message...It wasn't as bad at least so far that I thought it would be...I am sore and tired really that is about it...Feels kinda funny to have this pulsing feeling between my legs...lol I think I am ok though...So to all those who are gonna undergo this at least for me so far things have gone good and no complaints yet...We'll see how tomorrow and everything else goes but for just having surgery this afternoon I feel great...Well I better go lay back down and rest just thought u all would like to know how things went...

Jennifer,

I am so glad that things went well for you. My surgery is pretty much now a blur. It's so odd having that pulsating feeling, but soon you'll get so used to it that you won't even notice it. Make sure to get plenty of rest--and keep us posted when you can.

Hugs,
Jess

Thats about how I felt last week with my trial, today I got the implant and it is a little more painful, not miserable though. So far so good, once you rest some and do things gently you will notice alot of difference in your life.

Well I thought I'd write a quick message to let everyone know how I am doing..I am not as tired as yesterday, but my back and bottom sure do hurt...I just am moving slowly when I have to and taking things slow and careful...Riding in the car this morning to take the kids to school was no fun at all...I have noticed already my frequency had decreased so we'll give it time till I have a full opinion on the success of this surgery...Thanks to all those who emailed me...Makes me happy to know that someone cared and understood what I am going thru..I'll keep u posted sometime soon

Hi Jennifer,

Taking it slow is the best thing you can do. I was a little quick to do movement and paid for it...ouch!

I hope it all works out well for you.

Hugs,
Jess

Well today I still am sore from yesterdays surgery for the Interstim...my back and bottom where the incision is hurts the most...I had a very hard time sleeping last night and figuring out the best position to sleep...I only woke up once in the night to use the bathroom and for pain... I had my step mother change my bandage on my lower back this evening earlier and now it feels like it is not on right or something like it is gonna come loose or something...I have no bandages at home or anything to try to redo it, so was wondering if the hospital was suppose to give me some to change them or not..Have no money or I would run to the drug store to get some, so just praying bandage she put on stays put..I have noticed though today I have not been to the bathroom as much as usual which is a good thing... So far so good...well back to bed to rest

You really need to keep it bandaged, it will drain the whole time you have the trial in place, the drainage will slowly decrease, but you need to keep it covered. You may want to check with the Dr and see if they will gie you some bandages to keep it dry with.
