Oh oh. Already having urine retention and can no longer take Visteral.

Anyone else have experience with urine retention during pregnancy? I am so very early, I just hope that when I get further and my body makes that "relaxen" hormone it relaxes my bladder retention as well.

Anyone ever have this in pregnancy? Did it get better with time?

With my last pregnancy I had IC but didn't yet retain. This is an awful feeling. :toilet:

Are you taking any other medications? If not, could you try a different doseage and see if that makes a difference. I know there are certain medications that make me retain but if I cut the doseage it does help.

Just the very small dose of paxil. 5mgs. I dont really want to increase it as that means more paxil in my system and the babys.....

The 5 mg. is enough to help with the pain and some with the frequency.

I do go to the urologist later this week. He is concerned about me retaining. I am going to have a "cystogram?"

I am glad you will be discussing this with him. I have a problem if I take two medications that can cause retention that if I take too big a dose or take them too close together, 9 times out of 10, I will retain. Maybe it is just a matter of adjusting when you take the meds or lowering the doseages.

I really feel for you. Retention is bad enough. I guess it's even worse when your pregnant and already feeling awkward.......big hugs to you and I hope you feel better by tomorrow....... :grouphug:
