Hi All,

This is my first time entering a message, I have read many messages and I'm amazed to know I'm not alone. I am dealing with three conditions, IC, IBS and severe lactose intolerence. I take lactaid when I eat milk products (I don't drink milk), Elmiron and Amritphyline for IC and nothing for IBS. I have ignored my IC and IBS for the last 6 years and now I am trying to change my lifestyle and take care of my body. I am basically starting from point A, I have read lot's about IC on the ICA website and today I discovered this website!!! My number one question is DIET!!!

I know diet is very unique and it's trial and error. Can you recommend a possible trial and error starting diet please. Right now I eat chicken (every day, with garlic) in a whole wheat wrap. Lot's of salad, cucumbers, green pepper. I also eat Pears (i don't know if pears are good for IBS, do you know?). I eat fish, eggs (although it makes me feel sick trying to get my body use to it), potatoes (although it causes gas but I don't know what else to eat. White Rice (no problems with this) :). Cashew nuts. Protien bars by priemier. WHAT ELSE SHOULD I TRY????

Also has any tried the Hatha Yoga for IC??? Is it worth it?

I am canadian and a university student, I really have to watch my budget.

Please note my symptoms for IBS are extreme gas and bloating and diahrea,
I probably go #2 5-10 times a gas and go pea 7-14 times a day, it is very embarrassing at work and at social gatherings. I always am in the washroom. There are no clinics in Canada as far as I know, does anyone know.

Another question is I always smell like urine and I always feel like I am going to leak even though I am not. I always feel moist no matter how many times I wipe myself. Should I wear a panty liner everyday?. My doctor said I shouldn't because it doesn't allow my skin to breath.

Sorry about all the questions, I am so confused and new to all this. :help:

Since you're lactose intolerant I would suggest almond milk. Some of us find it helps our IC!
