Hi!!! I know what you mean about not being able to take a break. I'm on full scholarship and that's the only way I can go to college at all. To keep this scholarship I have to keep a 3.5 GPA, be a full-time student, and do 20 hours of community service a semester. If I take a break, I lose my scholarship, and I lose my chance at a decent education.

I did decide to take it a little easier this semester, taking 12 credit hours, still a full-time student but a little more relaxed. I will give me time to focus on my health AND my writing!!!

Good luck with the new semester!

Kiyoka-

sorry to hear your IC isn't under control, mine isn't either. I'm trying though. School can be that much harder when you can't control it. Let's face it school is hard even when you are well. I have to stay in school because my insurance is only if I'm a student. Well I'm struggling to be a student just for the insurance. The first week has gone by and this week promises to kick my butt. I had botox injections and an interstim removal about 3 weeks ago so i'm still sore and stess has already set in. I was planning on going to law school when i'm done which if I didn't keep on dropping classes would have been May 04. I just can't justify spending 50,000 for law school when I'm having trouble with undergrad. My GPA is good but if my IC keeps me from doing my work it will really take a beating. I'm so close to graduating with honors if i can stay strong. I'm just not into school right now. I don't think I can handle it but my parents are pressuring me because they see IC as being cured by every treatment. I guess we are conditioned to think there is a cure when we go to the doc. My parents just see the treatments as a cure but to me it allows for managablity. Botox is wonderful but not a cure. My life is better on botox and I feel better. Take care. I hope school isn't as much trouble for you. Take care.
