I am worried my five year old might get IC. :hmm: He has severe GERD and allergies to corn and milk. He takes after me alot in my sicknesses and I want to do everything I can to make sure if he does get this I can stop it from getting too severe. I know just because he has these problems doesn't mean he will get IC but he is not always forth coming on when he's not feeling to well. Plus the older he gets he might be to embaressed to tell my husband or I.

My three children are all adults now --- and not one case of IC. I used to worry about it, but I don't any more. Actually, I am the only one in my family with IC --- including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, parents (now deceased), and grandparents(also deceased).

I know there are some families with more than one person with IC, but I encourage you to try not to worry about this.
